Course Description:
This comprehensive course is meant to teach first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to the professionals in a team setup, so that they build confidence to respond to emergencies.
This course teaches the important steps to perform a rapid assessment, perform Basic Life Support (canadian red cross BLS Certification) skills, and perform rapid defibrillation including use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Opioid Poisoning Awareness:
The participants will also learn the signs/symptoms of opioid poisoning, how to provide help and prevent disability and death.
Who Should Attend:
- In-facility care providers, nursing staff, care aides, medical and dental professionals.
- Pre-hospital care providers, e.g. professionals in fire service, rescue teams, sports-medicine, lifeguards and ski patrol.
DURATION:
5 hours online training + 7 hours Standard First Aid + 3-4 hours BLS in-class instructor led training
Certification:
3 years certification in Standard First Aid and CPR- C/AED
1 year certification in BLS
