COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Cardiac arrest is very common – anyone at home or in the community can have a sudden cardiac arrest. Do you have enough knowledge to save this life? Same is the case with choking. It could be an adult, child or babies who might choke on something unexpectedly.
Courses on CPR provide the skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for adults, children and babies. Participants also learn the use of AED (Automated External Defibrillator). It includes the latest CPR guidelines and meets legislation for provincial/ territorial worker safety and board. It also meets standards established by the Federal Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Who Should Attend:
- No previous experience of CPR training required
- Anyone seeking guidance on care for their family, friends and the community

- Personal Support Workers (PSW)
Duration:
- 5 hours in-class or 3 hours in-class + 3 hours online
Certification:
- 5 hours in-class or 3 hours in-class + 3 hours online
- Please make sure to check your workplace policies as some offices require yearly certification in CPR.
